Offered for sale is an exceptional Colt Detective Special chambered in .38 Special, manufactured circa 1967. This Second Issue Detective Special represents one of Colt's finest compact double-action revolvers and remains one of the most desirable concealed-carry revolvers ever produced.
Featuring the classic 2-inch barrel, original checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions, fixed rear notch sight, and front ramp sight, this revolver showcases the exceptional craftsmanship and smooth action that established Colt as the benchmark for premium American revolvers.
Condition is best described as as new. The revolver retains an outstanding original blue finish with virtually no evidence of handling or use. Most notably, the cylinder shows no visible turn line, an extremely desirable characteristic that is seldom encountered on vintage Colt revolvers. Factory markings remain crisp, the bore is bright, and the action is exceptionally smooth in both double-action and single-action operation.
