Offered for sale is an exceptional Colt Detective Special chambered in .38 Special, manufactured in 1973. This classic six-shot snub-nose revolver represents the quality and craftsmanship that made Colt's Detective Special one of the most respected concealed carry revolvers ever produced.
This outstanding collector grade example features the desirable 2 inch barrel, original checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions, fixed rear notch sight, and front ramp sight. The revolver displays Colt's renowned deep Royal Blue finish, precise fit, and exceptionally smooth double-action and crisp single-action trigger pull.
Condition is best described as as new. The revolver retains an exceptional original finish with virtually no evidence of handling or use. Barrel markings remain sharp and crisp, the bore is bright, and the cylinder and frame exhibit the outstanding preservation expected from a carefully maintained collector firearm.
