Description:
"SN: S82769. 1952 production, .357 Magnum with a 3.5"" barrel. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Scarce 5-screw pre-model 27 Combat Magnum revolver with the ""FBI barrel"", blue steel, genuine stag grips, tuned action, and pinned & recessed. This gun comes from the collection of retired Texas Ranger Ron C. Stewart. Finish shows wear with most of the blue present. Very good condition overall. Retired Texas Ranger Ron Charles Stewart was a highly regarded law enforcement officer who served with the Texas Rangers for over 14 years, with a career spanning from 1970 to 1995. Following his 1970 graduation from the DPS Academy, Stewart served as a Highway Patrolman and an undercover narcotics agent. He later served as a Texas Ranger from 1980 to 1993 in Central Texas and later in the ""Big Bend"" region until 1995. After retiring, he worked as a U.S. Marshal special deputy and was a certified firearms instructor. Born in 1945, he was also a U.S. Army veteran. The Texas Ranger Association Foundation recognized his service and career contributions.
