Civil War Musket Fowler conversion smoothbore, Mech Exc, Wood VG shortened, Has a 33” musket barrel shortened to a fowler shotgun with brass bead front sight and has VP proof markings. Has an excellent lockplate dated 1863 and has a eagle and US Springfield markings. Has 2 original barrel bands type I pinching and no band retaining spring. Has and old ramrod maybe enfield. Has sling swivels. Bolster has a faint eagle marking. Metal overall has an aged grey patina finish with some fine pitting in the bolster area. Buttplate has no markings
