Offered for sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 649-2 chambered in .357 Magnum with the desirable 2-inch barrel. Built on the proven J-frame platform, the Model 649-2 features an enclosed hammer design for snag-free carry while still allowing single-action capability. This example, manufactured circa 2000, remains in outstanding as new condition.
The revolver retains its excellent original satin stainless finish and is fitted with the original factory finger-groove rubber grips. It is equipped with a fixed rear sight and serrated ramp front sight. The action is smooth in double action with a crisp single-action trigger pull, making it equally suitable for concealed carry, personal protection, or Smith & Wesson collection.
