This desirable pre-lock revolver features a 2-inch stainless barrel, double-action-only Centennial design with enclosed hammer, factory stainless finish, fixed sights, and factory finger-groove rubber grips. Manufactured circa 1996, the Model 640-1 represents the early .357 Magnum version of the Centennial series and has become increasingly sought after by collectors and those looking for a premium concealed-carry revolver. This example remains in as new condition with an excellent bore, crisp mechanics, and a clean, attractive factory finish. The timing and lock-up are excellent, making it equally appealing as a collector's piece or a practical defensive revolver. Pre-lock Smith & Wesson revolvers continue to enjoy strong demand, and fine examples such as this are becoming more difficult to locate.
