This classic six-shot revolver features the desirable 2-inch barrel, factory checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions, traditional double-action/single-action operation, fixed rear notch sight and ramp front sight. Manufactured circa 1972, this revolver represents one of Colt's most respected concealed-carry revolvers and remains highly collectible.
This example is presented in exceptional, as new condition with an excellent bore, crisp action, outstanding timing and lock-up, and retains an outstanding original factory finish. The Detective Special's six-shot cylinder offered an advantage over many competing snub-nose revolvers of its era and continues to make it a favorite among Colt collectors and enthusiasts.
