This exceptional sporting rifle represents exactly that era—a true guild-quality custom built by Accuracy Gun Shop of San Diego on one of the most respected sporting actions ever produced, the legendary Belgian FN Commercial Mauser Model 98. Long before CNC machining and production-line "custom shop" rifles became commonplace, rifles like this were individually commissioned by serious hunters who demanded absolute reliability, flawless craftsmanship, and uncompromising field performance. Every contour, every polished surface, and every line of this rifle reflects the skill of a master craftsman rather than the limitations of factory production.
At the heart of this rifle is the legendary controlled-round-feed FN Mauser action—the benchmark by which dangerous game rifles are still judged today. Chambered in the hard-hitting .375-338, this rifle delivers tremendous authority on elk, moose, brown bear, African plains game, and virtually any large game animal on the continent. The custom 26-inch heavy barrel maximizes velocity while providing exceptional rigidity and harmonic consistency for outstanding practical accuracy.
