Model 25-5 was introduced in 1978 as Smith & Wesson's standard-production .45 Colt target revolver. Built on the robust N-frame, it combines exceptional accuracy with one of the finest double-action trigger systems Smith & Wesson ever produced. Early examples like yours were manufactured with a pinned barrel, a feature discontinued around 1982, making these early revolvers especially desirable to collectors.
