Description:
The Smith & Wesson Model 36, commonly known as the Chiefs Special, is a 5 round J-frame revolver chambered in .38 S&W Special. It features a classic blued carbon steel frame and checkered wood grips. The original revolver was introduced in 1950 at the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference. Because of its compact size and suitability for concealed carry, attendees voted to name it the Chiefs Special. Smith & Wesson officially adopted the name Model 36 in 1957 when they transitioned to a numbered system. .38 S&W Special
