Here we present an antique German F. Bauernfeind Side x Side Back Action Hammer Shotgun, manufactured circa late 1800s in Heidelberg, Germany. Friederich Bauernfeind was in business under his own name circa 1847 to 1888, specializing in shotguns, cape guns, and drillings, frequently engraved.
The overall condition is good. Dark patina throughout. The actions are excellent. The bores are dim and smooth. There is some chiseling marks at the toe of the butt stock, otherwise solid.
