The Smith & Wesson Model 18-3 K-22 Combat Masterpiece is one of the finest training revolvers ever produced, delivering the handling characteristics of a duty-size K-frame with the economy and precision of the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. Built in 1967, this example represents the desirable early pinned-and-recessed era before later production changes. Its 4-inch barrel gives it the same balance and feel as the legendary Model 15 Combat Masterpiece carried by countless law enforcement officers.
On the range, the Model 18 is exceptionally accurate thanks to its excellent barrel quality, crisp target trigger, and fully adjustable Micro-Click rear sight. The smooth double-action pull and clean single-action break make it equally enjoyable for casual target shooting, small game hunting, or serious marksmanship practice. The recessed cylinder chambers and pinned barrel are hallmarks of Smith & Wesson's classic craftsmanship.
This revolver retains its factory target hammer and target trigger and checkered walnut target grips. The square-butt K-frame fills the hand naturally and offers excellent control, while the adjustable sights allow precise zeroing for virtually any .22 LR load. Overall fit and finish remain very impressive with the deep polished blue finish still presenting beautifully.
