The Smith & Wesson Model 17-3 K-22 Masterpiece is widely regarded as one of the finest rimfire target revolvers ever produced. Built on the proven K-frame with a beautifully polished blue finish, it was designed to duplicate the feel and balance of Smith & Wesson's centerfire target revolvers while offering the economy and precision of the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. This example retains the desirable pinned barrel and recessed cylinder found on classic production guns.
Its 5.75-inch heavy target barrel provides outstanding balance, making it exceptionally steady from the bench or in offhand competition. The crisp target trigger, wide target hammer, and fully adjustable micrometer rear sight allow shooters to extract excellent accuracy from quality match ammunition. These revolvers earned their reputation on bullseye ranges long before optics became common.
The K-frame fills the hand naturally, and the factory checkered walnut grips offer excellent control without feeling oversized. Smith & Wesson's double-action trigger pull is famously smooth, while the single-action break is light and predictable.
