Offered for sale is an original 1828 New England Militia Musket manufactured by Ketland & Adams and purchased by the State of Massachusetts. Based on the U.S. Model 1816 pattern, this historic firearm is a .69 caliber smoothbore flintlock and remains in near excellent condition for its age.
This is a fantastic opportunity for collectors of early American military arms, Revolutionary and War of 1812-era style firearms, or Massachusetts militia history. The musket displays beautifully and would make an outstanding addition to any serious collection.
