32363-BRITISH JAMES LLOYD, LEWES, SUSSEX DOUBLE SIDE X SIDE PERCUSSION 16 GAUGE SHOTGUN CIRCA LATE 1830’S-EARLY 1840’S. 46” o/a with 31” Damascus barrels with gold breech bands and gold maker intaglios signed “LLOYD”. Floral and game scene engraved locks and mounts with both lock plates signed “LLOYD” forward of the hammer. Half-length walnut stock with checkered wrist and steel butt plate. Very good overall and all original and complete including the ramrod. Locks in working order and good bore with light to moderate pitting. Early, good quality original percussion double not a conversion from flint. $650.
