.30-40 Krag caliber, 22" barrel, bolt action with fold out magazine on the right side of the receiver. Carbine length walnut stock bearing the .U.S inspector's cartouche on the left wrist, with finger groove and handguard. Folding ladder sight graduated out to 2000 yds. In excellent condition retaining most of the barrel blue, sharp wood with only minor handling marks. Minty bore and sharp rifling. Most likely an Bannerman conversion of the 1898 service rifle into a issue carbine configuation. ANTIQUE
