This Merkel Model 33E is presented as a four-barrel combination set with four interchangeable double-barrel assemblies. As shown, the firearm features a silver-finished receiver with extensive engraved coverage, double triggers, and richly figured walnut furniture. The stock has a pistol-grip configuration with a raised cheekpiece, while each barrel assembly is fitted with its own matching walnut forearm. Sling swivels are visible on the stock and barrel sets.
The multiple-barrel configuration includes a 12-gauge over/under set choked Modified and Full, as well as a combination set pairing a Full-choke 12-gauge shotgun barrel with a .222 Remington rifle barrel. The additional barrel assemblies provide the versatility associated with a traditional European combination-gun set.
