Built on a proven control-feed Springfield action and configured as a sporter rifle, this firearm combines military-action strength with the refinement of a traditional hunting rifle. The rifle features a 22-inch rifled barrel, fixed magazine with a 5-round capacity, and a handsome Monte Carlo walnut stock that provides both attractive styling and practical field performance. This example is rated in Excellent Condition (91-98%) and retains a blued finish along with a crisp 3-pound trigger pull. According to the ARMS notes, the rifle was manufactured during 1943-1944 and remains fitted with its sporter configuration and original 8-40 scope mount holes. Chambered in the respected .308 Norma Magnum cartridge, this rifle offers excellent capability for large game hunting while also appealing to collectors interested in classic Springfield-action sporters.
