The Browning Side by Side double-barrel 12ga shotgun. There are no model markings on this shotgun, This SxS shotgun is in immaculate condition. The bluing is close to flawless, and the woodwork is almost perfect, with miniscule signs of field use. This shotgun also features ornate engravings that give this a welcome touch of class. This would make a perfect addition to any individual’s collection. Shotgun appears to be in good working order with no visible damage, defects, or concerns. Manufacturer: Browning Model BSS. Type of Action: Break Action, Box Lock, Barrel Length: 28”, Fixed chokes marked Modified/Full (M right Bbl/F left Bbl): Left Barrel stamped "Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah Montreal P.Q." Below that line is "Made in Japan". Right barrel stamped "BSS Special Steel 12Ga----Shells 2 3/4". Type of Sights:front silver bead,ype of Grips:Checkered pistol grip and checkered beavertail forend Wood Finish: satin laquer Walnut: Auto safety, shell ejectors Condition: VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT- In perfect working condition, no appreciable wear on working surfaces, no corrosion or pitting, only minor surface dents or scratches. SN: 10887A37 the A=12 Gauge, 37 = 1973 date of manufacture The production of the BSS side-by-side shotgun began in 1971 (12ga) and 1972 (20ga). The Sidelock model was introduced in 1983. Production ceased in 1987.
