Payment Types Accepted: Personal Check or Money Order Description: Factory Ventilated Rib • WS-1 Skeet Choke • 1958 Production • Collector Condition Offered is an exceptionally well-preserved Winchester Model 50 Skeet chambered in 20 gauge, manufactured in 1958 (Serial No. 149650). This shotgun represents one of Winchester's finest post-war autoloaders and remains in remarkable original condition. The Model 50 was designed by David "Carbine" Williams, whose short-recoil action earned a reputation for reliability, smooth operation, and durability. This example retains its factory 26-inch ventilated rib barrel with the desirable WS-1 Skeet choke, 2¾-inch chamber, and original Winchester Proof Steel markings. The barrel and receiver display matching Winchester proof marks, confirming the barrel is original to the gun. The factory ventilated rib is completely original, straight, and undamaged, with crisp matting and the original front bead intact. There is no evidence of aftermarket rib installation or refinishing. The original factory blue remains outstanding throughout. The receiver retains approximately 98% original finish, with only a few very light handling marks. The barrel retains approximately 98–99% original blue, showing no dents, polishing, or abuse. The magazine tube also retains excellent original finish, an area that commonly exhibits significant wear on Model 50s. The original walnut buttstock and forearm remain in beautiful condition with attractive figure and sharp factory checkering. The wood has never been sanded or refinished and exhibits only a few minor handling marks accumulated over nearly seventy years. The original Winchester hard-rubber buttplate remains correctly fitted. The interior of the receiver is exceptionally clean, suggesting this shotgun has seen relatively modest use. Overall, this is one of the nicest original Model 50 Skeet guns I have encountered in recent years. Specifications
Collector Notes The 20-gauge Skeet version of the Model 50 was produced in far smaller numbers than the standard 12-gauge Field models, making high-condition examples increasingly difficult to locate. Collectors particularly seek original guns retaining their factory vent rib, correct Skeet choke, original finish, and matching proof marks—all features present on this shotgun. Whether you are a Winchester collector, a skeet enthusiast, or simply appreciate classic American sporting arms, this is an outstanding opportunity to acquire one of Winchester's finest post-war semi-automatic shotguns in exceptional original condition.
