Springfield Civil War Musket 1863 dated Conversion to a fowler or forager mfg’d by spfd arsenal or converted by Bannerman’s Sporting Catologue Store. Bore Smooth, 16 ga, Mech Exc, Wood VG , has US marked original buttplate. The lock has date, eagle and US Springfield markings. Has a 33” original musket barrel shortend with a brass bead front sight and has a ramrod guide . The ramrod trumpet style .This may be a forager model as the workmanship appears to be arsenal quality.
