Description:
Flintlock | Approx .75 Cal | New Wooden Shipping Crate

The Indian Toradar is a historic matchlock musket that evolved from 16th-century European designs, remaining a signature firearm of South Asian heritage through the 19th century. This piece reflects the robust construction and elegant lines typical of the Raj period, featuring the traditional long-barrel profile and manual ignition system.

This specific unit showcases a 57" barrel with a ¾ caliber bore, featuring gold floral decorations and multi-brass bands that secure the steel to a wood stock with a distinct pentagonal butt. It is preserved in good honest condition with a natural aged patina and historical steel fittings, though the junction between the barrel and stock is delicate and currently reinforced with cable ties.

The musket is accompanied by a new wooden shipping crate padded with foam for secure transport. It serves as a magnificent display example for an early firearm collection, though it is not recommended for firing due to its antique status and internal bore wear.
