The Cogswell & Harrison Avant Tout represents a storied legacy in British gunmaking, originating from one of London’s oldest and most respected firms. This side-by-side shotgun was engineered to provide a reliable and sophisticated solution for the traditional sportsman, embodying the classic aesthetics and functional balance for which the manufacturer is renowned.

This particular 1955 production is in excellent condition for its age, featuring a Prince of Wales stock crafted from English walnut that displays character through honest handling marks and wear on the checkered forend and carved buttstock. The 30-inch barrels are marked with a small scratch on the right and minor surface corrosion, yet they retain their deep bluing and carry the distinguished addresses of 141 New Bond Street & 226 Strand engraved upon the top.

The break action locks up tight while the ejectors function perfectly, ensuring this C&R eligible field gun remains as mechanically sound as it is visually striking.
