Description:
General Specs: Browning, 1962, 28-Gauge, 6lbs. 11oz., Chokes SK/SK, LOP 14 1/8", DAH 2 3/8", DAC 1 9/16"
Serial Number: 454 F2

Vintage Firearms is pleased to present this outstanding example of a Grade 1 Browning Superposed 28 gauge. Untouched factory finishes remain in very good to excellent condition across every surface. Honest, mild handling marks may be found, but they do not take away from the quality of the Belgian craftsmanship or the overall appeal of this fine firearm.

This gun is ready for the skeet field or early-season upland hunting when the shooting is close. The desirable 28-inch barrels feature mirror bores, a ventilated rib, and retain 98% factory blue. The action locks up tight with the lever slightly right of center, and the receiver retains strong factory blue with only mild thinning at the typical hold points. Grade 1 Superposed guns are not known for highly figured walnut; this one, like most others, is simply and properly appointed, nicely checkered, and finished with the factory Browning buttplate.

The appeal of this Belgian Browning is found in the right combination of qualities: the beloved Superposed design, early 28-gauge production, long tang round knob configuration, 28-inch barrels, strong factory finishes, and honest condition that invites use. For the shooter who wants a solid, Belgian Browning small bore with desirable dimensions and no apologies, this Grade 1 28 gauge is a very attractive example.
