The Perazzi SCO/C Two-Barrel Set represents the pinnacle of Italian sporting gun craftsmanship, combining Perazzi's world-renowned competition-proven mechanics with the artistry of one of Italy's greatest master engravers. Built in 1986, this exceptional set features both 12 gauge and 20 gauge barrel assemblies, allowing the owner to enjoy two distinctly different shooting experiences on a single premium platform. Engraved by the late Angelo Galeazzi, it is equally suited for the discerning collector and the serious sportsman.
Built on Perazzi's renowned sideplated detachable trigger group action, the gun features a single non-selective trigger, ejectors, non-automatic safety, and gold-plated trigger and internal components. The action, 12 GA barrels and detachable trigger group are all serial-number matched, ensuring the integrity expected of a premium Perazzi - 20 gauge barrels and forend are serial number #85599.
The first barrel set is chambered in 12 gauge with 2.75-inch chambers and features 27.625-inch barrels fitted with Briley interchangeable choke tubes. Included are Skeet, Cylinder, two Improved Cylinder, and Improved Modified choke tubes, along with the original Briley choke wrench, making the gun adaptable for everything from skeet and sporting clays to upland birds and general field use. The barrels are fitted with a 10.5mm to 7.5mm tapering ventilated rib and red fiber-optic front sight.
The second barrel set is chambered in 20 gauge with 2.75-inch chambers and features 29.5-inch barrels choked Improved Modified (.036") and Full (.045"). These barrels wear a 10.5mm flat ventilated rib with a red fiber-optic front sight. Installed on the 12-gauge frame, the 20-gauge barrels create a remarkably soft-shooting combination weighing 8 pounds 7.4 ounces, while the 12-gauge configuration weighs 7 pounds 14.8 ounces.
Mechanically, the shotgun remains in very good overall condition. Both barrel sets have clear bores, the action locks up tightly with each set installed, the top lever rests just right of center, the trigger is crisp, and the ejectors are strong and in time with both barrel assemblies.
The receiver is adorned with stunning game scene engraving by the late Master Engraver Angelo Galeazzi. One side depicts four ducks descending into a marsh, with one bird settling onto the water, while the underside portrays two ducks flushing from the marsh. The opposite side features four grouse in flight over a mountain landscape with two English Setters locked on point. Galeazzi's signature appears discreetly within the engraving, while the balance of the action is covered with elegant floral and fine scroll engraving. Both barrel sets feature gold-inlaid Perazzi maker's names on the left side above the forend.
The deluxe walnut stock features a right-handed palm swell, black recoil pad, and fine diamond-point checkering. Each barrel set is accompanied by its own matching forend—the 12-gauge barrels with a classic Schnabel forend and the 20-gauge barrels with a rounded field-style forend—allowing each configuration to retain its proper balance and handling characteristics.
The shotgun is housed in a premium leather Negrini case with a green felt interior and Perazzi logo on the exterior. Also included are the stock wrench and a set of 12-gauge snap caps, making this a complete and highly desirable package.
