The Colt New Frontier .22 brings the look and handling of Colt’s legendary single-action revolver into a scaled-down rimfire package. Its flat-top frame and adjustable sights separate it from the fixed-sight Peacemaker .22 and give it a more serious target-shooting personality. This example wears the classic combination of a vivid color case-hardened frame with deeply blued major components.
The 4-inch barrel gives this revolver a quick and balanced feel without sacrificing useful sight radius. Its adjustable rear sight and tall ramp front sight offer considerably more precision than the simple groove-and-blade arrangement found on traditional fixed-sight single actions. The long barrel-mounted ejector assembly and solid steel construction give it the unmistakable Colt profile.
Traditional single-action controls make operation straightforward and deliberate. The hammer must be manually cocked for every shot while the loading gate and ejector rod handle loading and unloading one chamber at a time. Checkered black eagle grips provide a secure hold while preserving the period-correct appearance collectors expect from this model.
Chambering in .22 LR keeps recoil and report mild while making this Colt an excellent choice for recreational shooting and fundamentals practice. The six-shot cylinder locks into the classic Colt pattern and the single-action trigger provides a clean consistent release.
Colt introduced the New Frontier .22 during the 1970's as a premium adjustable-sight companion to its Peacemaker .22 line. Strong case colors correct eagle grips crisp markings and attractive blue finish give this revolver solid collector appeal along with genuine range-ready character.
