Description:
Very rare Winchester Model 54 Super Grade in 30-'06 caliber. These were only made during the last few years of production and are seldom seen.
S/N 50442A with matching scribed bolt made in late 1936, immediately prior to the introduction of its successor, the world renowned Model 70.
This rifle is in excellent condition throughout.
Remarkably, it retains most of its original combination of lustrous rust and carbonum blued finishes for a 90 year old rifle, showing very little wear.
The wood is close behind, with bright original finish and only light handling marks. The LOP is 13 5/8" to an added recoil pad.
The bore is minty and all mechanical functions are smooth and crisp.
The rear receiver bridge remains correctly UNDRILLED, and there have been no alterations to the bolt handle.
Includes the correct "concave" shouldered pre war detachable swivels.
A beautiful example of an original finish and extremely difficult to find rifle.
