The Browning BDA-380 is a classic, double-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 ACP with a 3.8-inch barrel, famously manufactured for Browning by Pietro Beretta in Italy from 1977 to 1997. It is highly regarded for its exceptional build quality, smooth operation, and high-capacity magazine, making it a favorite among collectors and enthusiasts of vintage all-metal handguns. The BDA-380 was designed and produced by Beretta. It shares a lot of heritages with the Beretta Model 84 "Cheetah." However, Browning requested specific design changes, including an enclosed slide (unlike Beretta's signature open-top slide) and a slide-mounted safety rather than a frame-mounted one. The pistol features a lightweight aluminum alloy frame paired with a solid steel slide. This combination keeps the gun well-balanced and highly durable while managing the snappy recoil typical of direct-blowback .380 firearms .380 ACP
