Description:
Clean and solid 1892 in 25-20 caliber.
S/N 546681 made in 1910.
Fairly strong and consistent bluing on barrel and mag tube. The tube does have several small dents on underside, but they are not deep enough to impede loading. The receiver and crescent buttplate have faded somewhat to an even blue/grey with no ugly undertones.
The wood is sound with light to moderate handling marks, but no unsightly gouges and no cracks. It has never been sanded and remains proud everywhere, with some added finish over the years.
The 24" barrel has a good bore, with defined rifling and some light oxidation throughout, but no pits were observed.
Original sights. Excellent mechanical function.
A very decent '92 that should make for a good representative shooter.
