Offered for sale is an exceptionally rare Winchester Model 12 Pigeon Grade chambered in 12 Gauge. This is a true collector's opportunity to acquire one of the rarest factory-configured Model 12s encountered—a factory original 3-pin vent rib with a 26-inch barrel choked Improved Cylinder. Factory Pigeon Grades in this field configuration are virtually never seen on the market.
This shotgun is 100% factory original and is accompanied by a factory letter from Pauline Muerrle confirming that the Pigeon Grade engraving was completed at the Winchester factory by renowned engraver Nick Kusmit, adding outstanding provenance and collector appeal.
The shotgun remains in excellent overall condition. The metal retains beautiful original finish, while the wood is equally impressive, showing only one light rub mark on the stock, likely the result of long-term storage. It presents as an exceptionally well-preserved example of one of Winchester's finest pump shotguns.
Finding a factory Pigeon Grade is difficult enough, but locating one with a factory 26-inch 3-pin vent rib barrel choked Improved Cylinder is an entirely different level of rarity.
