This lot contains 500 rounds of vintage 9mm Largo military surplus ammunition housed inside a sealed galvanized steel ammunition tin. The exterior is handwritten in red with “500 9MM LARGO,” identifying the stated quantity and cartridge contained inside.
The 9mm Largo cartridge, also known as the 9×23mm Bergmann-Bayard, was widely used by Spanish military and police forces in firearms including the Astra Model 400, Star pistols, Destroyer carbines, and several Spanish submachine-gun designs. Its long military service life has made original surplus ammunition increasingly desirable among collectors and owners of historic Spanish firearms.
The container remains closed and features folded and soldered sheet-metal construction with an integral wire carrying handle. No original factory label or clearly readable manufacturer marking is present on the exterior, so the exact manufacturer, production date, projectile configuration, case material, and internal packaging cannot be independently verified without opening the tin.
The metal container displays substantial age-related storage wear, including scratches, scuffs, oxidation, scattered surface rust, discoloration, dents, edge wear, remnants of an old paper label, and handwritten inventory markings. The ammunition has not been individually inspected. Due to its age and military-surplus origin, it should be treated as potentially corrosive and is sold as collectible surplus ammunition.
