The Rizzini S2000 is a premium Italian over/under built for serious target shooters and high-bird hunters who demand modern performance without sacrificing traditional craftsmanship. Featuring long 32-inch high-performance steel shot proofed barrels, a fully adjustable stock, and engraving by the renowned Bottega C. Giovanelli, this shotgun is equally at home on the sporting clays course, in the duck blind, or on a driven pheasant shoot.
Manufactured in 2017, this example is chambered in 12 gauge with 3-inch chambers and fitted with 32-inch barrels weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces. The barrels accept Rizzini extended choke tubes, and this gun includes Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified (steel shot rated), Improved Modified, and Full (lead shot) choke tubes. The barrels are proofed for High Performance Steel Shot, making the shotgun fully capable of handling modern non-toxic loads for waterfowl and other demanding applications. A 10mm flat matted ventilated rib with a red fiber-optic front bead provides a fast, highly visible sighting plane.
Built on a robust sideplated boxlock action, the shotgun features a single selective trigger, ejectors, and non-automatic safety. Mechanically, it remains in excellent overall condition. The bores are clear, the action locks up tightly, the trigger is crisp, and the ejectors are strong and in time.
The coin-finished receiver is lavishly engraved with flowing acanthus scroll by the celebrated Bottega C. Giovanelli, one of Italy's premier engraving houses. Lion's heads frame the maker's name on both sides of the receiver, while the underside features standing roaring lions flanking the model designation on an engraved scroll. The engraving is signed beside the trigger guard, further emphasizing the gun's bespoke level of artistry.
The shotgun is stocked with beautifully figured deluxe walnut and a target-style forend. A right-handed palm swell, sharp checkering, and Rizzini's patented adjustable comb system allow the shooter to easily tailor the stock dimensions for a precise custom fit. The stock is completed with a factory black recoil pad.
Included is the original Rizzini-branded Negrini ABS case with green velvet interior, along with the original Rizzini snap caps, making this an exceptionally complete package.
