This Swedish Carl Gustaf Modell 1896 (M96) infantry rifle chambered in 6.5x55mm Mauser is an exceptional example of early 20th-century European craftsmanship, featuring a receiver ring stamped with a 1915 manufacture date. This particular rifle features a factory-threaded muzzle, a common modification introduced by the Swedish military to accept a blank-firing attachment for training maneuvers. The internal flush-fit 5-round magazine is housed in a well-preserved wood stock that retains its original two-screw brass stock disk, which served as an armorer's record for bore condition and dimensions. Combining a threaded barrel with legendary Mauser precision, this highly accurate flat-shooting rifle is a stellar addition to any military surplus collection. 6.5X55
