Description:
This Ithaca Featherweight model 37 is in amazing "As New condition "and looks to be unfired.!

Key Specifications (Typical for 1950s Model 37)
•  Action: Pump-action (slide-action) with bottom ejection/loading port (a signature Ithaca feature — ambidextrous, keeps the action cleaner, and protects from weather/debris). Based on a John Browning design.
•  Gauges: Commonly 12, 16, or 20 gauge (28 gauge later). Check your barrel for the exact marking.
•  Chamber: Typically 2¾” (some later or special models handle 3”).
•  Barrel Lengths: Field guns often 26”, 28”, or 30” (plain or vent rib; fixed choke or variable like Poly-Choke). Riot/police versions had shorter barrels (e.g., 18–20”).
•  Magazine Capacity: 4+1 or 5+1 standard (tubular under barrel); extensions available on some variants.
•  Weight: Featherlight models are notably light — ~6–7 lbs in 12 ga, lighter in smaller gauges (e.g., ~5.75–6.5 lbs).
•  Stock: Walnut (often with checkering on higher grades); pistol grip or straight styles depending on variant.
•  Sights: Bead front; some with rib and rear sight.
•  Other Features: Cross-bolt safety (rear of trigger guard), single-bar action (on left side), crisp trigger. Known for reliability, smooth operation, and durability.
The Model 37 is a classic American pump shotgun, popular for hunting, sport, and even military/law enforcement use. It’s valued for its bottom-eject design and relatively light weight compared to contemporaries.
