The Smith & Wesson Model 67 (specifically the 67-5 engineering revision) is a six-shot, medium-frame double-action/single-action (DA/SA) revolver chambered in .38 Special +P. Known historically as the K-38 Combat Masterpiece Stainless, it is the all-stainless-steel counterpart to the legendary blued-steel Model 15. Built on Smith & Wesson's iconic K-Frame platform, it balances manageable recoil with high durability, making it popular for target shooting, home defense, and duty carry. Both the frame and cylinder are crafted from satin stainless steel for excellent rust and corrosion resistance. The 67-5 configuration incorporates Smith & Wesson's modern production updates, including an internal frame lock (frequently referred to as the "Hillary Hole") situated just above the thumb cylinder release, a frame-mounted firing pin, and modern metal injection molded (MIM) internal parts. .38 Special + P
