Standard configuration 1937 dated Mauser S/42 Luger, cal. 9mmP, SN: 359k, original finish and all matching with matching magazine, a spare magazine, and a matching-dated holster. Chamber dated 1937 with the front toggle link marked “S/42”. Full serial number “359k” marked on forward frame, with the numeration repeated on the left side of the barrel extension and under the barrel, last two digits marked on all of the usual small parts including rear toggle pin and both of the grips. Matching magazine with Eagle/63 acceptance. Spare magazine with blued body, aluminum plug with police markings "2 / 3371 / x”. Complete with dark brown 1937 dated holster with Eagle/WaA142 acceptance. No takedown tool. The S/42 code was adopted by Germany in the mid-1930s to disguise Mauser’s role in military pistol production during the early rearmament period. Pistols of this type served as the standard German service sidearm during Germany’s invasion of Poland, well representative of Mauser’s high-quality manufacturing.

Condition:

VG+ 90-95% bright original blue with sharp edge and holster wear in usual locations, especially the left side of the barrel band, tip of rails, hump of sideplate, and early thinning of the straps. Comparable condition grips with oil darkening, slight diamond blunting and a few minor losses. VG+ magazines with plugs showing no suggestion of enhancement or alteration. VG bore with light oxidation. Proper manual function with both magazines. VG+ original holster, WaA code and date arguably enhanced/re-struck, with intact pull-up and stitching.
