The Browning B725 Hunter Grade 1 Left-Hand is a refined modern game gun that combines the timeless elegance of Browning's field shotguns with the latest advancements in performance and durability. Built by Miroku of Japan for Browning S.A., the B725 series has earned an outstanding reputation for its low-profile action, superb balance, and mechanical reliability. Designed specifically for the left-handed shooter, this 2016 example offers premium handling, beautiful walnut, and High Performance Steel Shot capability in a lightweight 20 gauge platform.
Chambered in 20 gauge with both 2.75-inch and 3-inch chambers, the shotgun is fitted with 30-inch High Performance Steel Shot proofed barrels and weighs a lively 6 pounds 11.8 ounces. The barrels utilize Browning's Invector DS choke system and include Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Improved Modified choke tubes suitable for both steel and lead shot, along with a Full choke for lead shot. A matted ventilated rib with a traditional silver front bead provides a clean and instinctive sight picture for upland birds and driven game.
Built on Browning's proven boxlock action, the shotgun features a single selective gold trigger, ejectors, and non-automatic safety. It remains in excellent overall condition, exhibiting only faint handling wear consistent with careful use. The bores are clear, the action is smooth and locks up tightly, the trigger is crisp, and the ejectors are strong and in time. Mechanically, the shotgun is excellent.
The blued receiver is tastefully decorated with gold-inlaid game birds on both sides surrounded by elegant border engraving. The underside of the action features "B725" inlaid in gold and framed by flowing scroll engraving, providing tasteful embellishment without detracting from the gun's classic field appearance.
The richly blued steel barrels complement a stunning walnut stock and matching forend displaying exceptional figure. The stock is built with left-hand cast, making it a true left-handed configuration rather than simply a neutral stock. Sharp diamond-point checkering adorns the round-knob pistol grip and forend, while the factory Browning Inflex recoil pad helps reduce felt recoil and improve shooting comfort.
The shotgun is housed in its original Browning B725 ABS hard case with black interior. Also included are the factory choke tubes housed in their protective case along with the Browning choke wrench.
