The Browning B725 Sporter is one of the premier sporting clays shotguns in Browning's modern lineup, combining the legendary reliability of the Citori platform with a lower-profile receiver, refined ergonomics, and features designed specifically for competitive target shooting. Manufactured by Miroku of Japan for Browning S.A., the B725 has become a favorite among sporting clays, skeet, and FITASC shooters for its excellent balance, crisp mechanical trigger, and exceptional durability. This 2021 example is a beautifully maintained competition gun, complete with its original factory case and accessories.
Chambered in 12 gauge with both 2.75-inch and 3-inch chambers, the shotgun is fitted with 32-inch High Performance Steel Shot proofed barrels and weighs 8 pounds 1 ounce, providing the smooth, deliberate swing preferred by serious target shooters. The barrels utilize the Invector DS choke system and include Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Improved Modified choke tubes suitable for both steel and lead shot, along with a Full choke for lead shot. A Browning choke wrench is included. The 10mm ventilated matted rib is equipped with a white mid-bead and white front bead, while the matte black barrel finish minimizes glare in bright shooting conditions.
Built on Browning's proven boxlock action, the shotgun features a single selective gold trigger, ejectors, and non-automatic safety. The trigger is adjustable, allowing approximately ½ inch of length-of-pull adjustment for a more personalized fit. Mechanically, the shotgun remains in excellent overall condition. The bores are clear, the action is smooth and locks up tightly, the trigger is crisp, and the ejectors are strong and in time.
The coin-finished receiver features tasteful contemporary styling with "B725S" engraved on both sides and "B725 Sporter" on the underside. The blued trigger guard is adorned with a gold Browning Buckmark, while the adjustable gold trigger provides both visual appeal and practical customization.
The shotgun is stocked with an attractive walnut sporting stock and matching Schnabel forend. Sharp diamond-point checkering provides a secure grip, while the slight right-hand palm swell offers excellent control during extended shooting sessions. The stock dimensions and overall balance make this an exceptionally comfortable shotgun for a wide variety of clay target disciplines.
The shotgun is housed in its original Browning B725 ABS hard case and includes the original paperwork, warranty card, factory choke tube case, and choke wrench.
