This is a solid example of the iconic Smith & Wesson Model 15-4 (.38 Special), the Combat Masterpiece. Built on the proven medium K-frame, this double/single-action revolver features a 4\" barrel, adjustable sights, and the smooth, reliable action that made the Model 15 a favorite among law enforcement and target shooters for decades.

The blued finish shows honest wear consistent with age and light use (typical cylinder turn lines, minor edge wear, and handling marks), but remains strong with no major pitting or rust. The bore and chambers are clean and bright. Grips are in nice shape with good checkering and medallions intact. Mechanics appear solid — tight lockup, smooth action, and functional sights. Comes with the original factory blue box (with label and handwritten details matching the gun).
Background: The Model 15-4 represents the 4th engineering change (circa late 1970s, around 1977–1979 production window for this serial range). It’s a refined evolution of the Combat Masterpiece line — accurate, durable, and perfectly balanced for duty, competition, or recreational shooting.
