Offered is a classic Marlin Model 1893 lever-action rifle chambered in the legendary .30-30 Winchester cartridge. This rifle features the desirable 26-inch round Special Smokeless Steel barrel, original Marlin Safety markings, and an excellent bright bore with sharp rifling.
This rifle appears to have been professionally refinished, including the barrel and receiver, resulting in an attractive, period-correct appearance while retaining crisp factory markings and clean receiver lines. The walnut stocks remain in very good to excellent condition with only light handling marks from normal use and retain excellent wood-to-metal fit. The original crescent steel buttplate is present, along with the correct semi-buckhorn rear sight.
Mechanically, the rifle functions properly with a smooth lever action. The bore is exceptionally clean with strong, sharp rifling, making this rifle an excellent candidate for both collecting and shooting.
The Marlin Model 1893 is one of the finest American sporting rifles of the early smokeless powder era. Its solid-top, side-eject receiver offers strength, reliability, and excellent handling, while the .30-30 Winchester chambering remains one of the most practical and historically significant sporting cartridges ever produced.
