Description:
The Sears and Roebuck Model 102-25 chambered in 16 Gauge with a 28-inch barrel is a vintage, store-branded pump-action shotgun from the mid-20th century. During this era, Sears sold firearms under their house brand names like "Ranger" or "J.C. Higgins". According to the Firearms Guide Cross-Reference Database, the Model 102-25 was actually manufactured under contract by the J. Stevens Arms Company as their Model 520A. The Model 102-25 features a distinct double-hump profile at the rear of the receiver. Originally inspired by Browning's Auto-5 semi-automatic layout, this steel profile aligns naturally with the shooter's eye, creating an intuitive sight plane straight down the barrel rib to the front bead. The most notable mechanical feature is its toolless breakdown capability. By sliding the pump forearm all the way back, pulling down the magazine tube mechanism, and twisting the locking collar, the entire barrel assembly slides downward out of a jigsaw-style joint in the receiver. This allows the massive 28-inch shotgun to fit neatly into a compact travel bag. 16 Gauge
