Here is an early Savage Model 1905 bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle. This is one of Savage's classic early rimfire rifles and remains highly sought after by collectors of pre-World War I American sporting arms.
This rifle features a 22-inch barrel with a clean bore and good, well-defined rifling. The action functions smoothly, and the rifle retains its original Savage No. 21 adjustable rear sight, blade front sight, wire trigger guard, and distinctive crescent steel buttplate.
The walnut stock is in excellent condition with an attractive finish, showing only light handling marks. The metal finish presents beautifully with only minor age-related wear and light spotting visible on the bolt body. Overall, this is a very handsome example that displays extremely well. Whether you're adding to a Savage collection or looking for a quality early American .22 sporting rifle, this Model 1905 would make an outstanding addition.
