Very nice Colt 1878 Double Action Army in 44-40. The gun retains a significant amount of its original factory finish with the address and caliber markings particularly strong. It is chambered in 44-40 and has the 7 1/2" barrel.
The action works well in both single action and double action. With the hammer fully depressed the cylinder is very rigid.
Per Colt's the gun was made in 1898.
This gun would make a nice addition to any collection.
