"Serial no. 1087848. Manufactured in 1942 by Winchester Repeating Arms Company, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18"" round barrel marked “W." Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The carbine remains in its desirable WWII configuration. The low wood stock is in overall very good condition, showing only minimal handling impressions and retaining a visible ordnance cartouche on the right side. Winchester was the only traditional firearms manufacturer selected as a prime contractor for the M1 Carbine program, making its carbines especially desirable among collectors. The rifle comes complete with a magazine pouch, oiler, and sling. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
