"Serial no. B1442. Manufactured circa 1909 by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken for the Brazilian military, chambered in 7x57mm Mauser, 29"" round barrel. Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching except for the bolt. The bluing is thinning, primarily around the receiver, while the Brazilian crest remains sharp and well defined. The stock shows expected handling wear from military service, with a professionally repaired crack at the toe and a painted rack number ""26."" Brazilian Model 1908 rifles are regarded as some of the finest pre-WWI Mauser contract rifles, known for their exceptional machining, fit, and finish. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
