Rare 1892 Winchester Special Ordered Short Rifle in 44-40. Very nice bore, I will rate it an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. 20" octagon barrel and full magazine tube retain over 90% of their original blue. Correct front and rear sights. Action functions nicely. Receiver retains 50% of its original finish mixing in with a brown flaking patina. Both forend and buttstock are in very nice condition. Wood is proud (higher than the metal). Correct crescent style buttplate. This is a very difficult special ordered factory 1892 Winchester Short Rifle to obtain, so don’t miss your opportunity. I offer a layaway and will consider trades.
