The Remington Model 660 Magnum is one of the most distinctive and desirable hunting carbines ever produced by Big Green. Built between 1968 and 1971, the Magnum version paired Remington's compact short action with powerful magnum chamberings, creating an exceptionally handy rifle capable of taking North America's largest game. This example is chambered in the legendary .350 Remington Magnum and features the highly recognizable dog-leg bolt handle that has become synonymous with the Model 600 and 660 family.

The .350 Remington Magnum delivers tremendous downrange authority from its compact 20-inch barrel. Heavy .35 caliber bullets provide deep penetration and devastating terminal performance on elk, moose, black bear, hogs, and large whitetails while maintaining excellent accuracy in a lightweight hunting platform. Hunters have long appreciated the cartridge for delivering big-game stopping power from an exceptionally short, fast-handling rifle.

The beautifully figured laminated walnut and beechwood Monte Carlo stock offers excellent strength and weather resistance while maintaining classic Remington styling. Cut checkering provides a secure purchase in wet or cold conditions, while the factory pad helps tame the stout recoil generated by the .350 Remington Magnum. Combined with its compact dimensions and balanced handling characteristics, the Model 660 Magnum remains one of the finest timber and mountain hunting rifles ever built.

Collectors continue to pursue original Model 660 Magnums due to their short production run and limited chamberings. The factory laminated stock, dog-leg bolt, original iron sights, and powerful .350 Remington Magnum chambering make this configuration especially sought after. Whether carried into elk country, kept as a practical hunting rifle, or added to a serious Remington collection, the 660 Magnum represents one of Remington's most innovative and iconic bolt-action designs.
