"Serial no. BK3818. Manufactured in 1953, chambered in 7.62x54R, 20.5"" round barrel. Bore is fair with visible rifling. Serial numbers are non-matching. The metal has aged to an even grey patina while the factory markings remain sharp and well defined. The stock displays expected handling marks and service wear consistent with military use. Produced for the Hungarian military during the early Cold War, the 48.M is a Hungarian-made variant of the Soviet M44 carbine and is sought after for its comparatively limited production and quality manufacture. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
