"Serial no. CL8731. Manufactured in 1945 by Izhevsk Arsenal, chambered in 7.62x54R, 20.5"" round barrel. Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching except for the bolt. The left side of the receiver bears an import mark. The stock shows expected handling marks and service impressions consistent with military use. Introduced during the final years of World War II, the M44 featured a permanently attached folding bayonet and represented the last standard Mosin-Nagant carbine adopted by the Soviet Union. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
