"Serial no. 21003. Manufactured in 1945 by Nagoya Arsenal, Series 8, chambered in 7.7x58mm Arisaka, 25.5"" round barrel. Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching throughout. The imperial chrysanthemum (""mum"") has been removed from the receiver. The three-piece wooden stock remains in very good condition, showing only minimal handling wear. As a late-war ""Last Ditch"" production rifle, this Type 99 reflects Japan's wartime manufacturing simplifications while retaining the strength and reliability for which the Arisaka action is renowned. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
